Izzie's blessing

Such a beauiful blessing for such a powerful, beautiful little soul... officially named Isabel Ann Lamb (without controversy) Her father gave her such a touching, sweet blessing.

Thanks to all who came to support our little angel. She did great and the Spirit was felt strongly in the meeting.

Isabel 1 month

The apple of our eyes turned one month old today, and realizing her little coming-of-age, she decided to smile a bit for us. A bit?? A lot! She is a VERY smiley baby! And it's not just a small hint of a smile anymore -- it's a full on grin. I am SOOO happy she has reached this day! Well, besides the beautiful smiles and happiness, the one-month mark means squeaky-leaky poo! My mom ran an errand today and I got to take care of sleepy Izz. In the midst of all her sleepiness, she started to wail. I suspected she needed a diaper change. Did she!

I can honestly say that I don't think I've ever changed a diaper that bad. It was all over her rocker, and her onesie and her diaper was yellow. It was a truly sickening sight. I called my mom gaggin and choking, with a naked baby that was not too excited to be naked and covered in poo. I probably wouldn't be either, of course.

After ten minutes of wiping, throwing away, more wiping and throwing away, and changing, I got her settled down and now she is slepping like the angel she is in her vibrating chair.

After this event, I just have one question:

Does it get worse with age?

I made it this morning - it's not her birth announcement, I was just playing around to see what I could come up with. It's not bad, is it? Happy two weeks on Monday, Izzie!

Here are some of the ins-and-outs between Izzie's labor story. She was a very good baby - still good, avid sleeper, short and chubby :) just the way we like them! --yes, her official name is Isabel Ann.

--she's got bird legs, and a chubby face, and she's already smiling :)

--she was born exactly May 11, 2009 5:54pm

--she's beautiful, but is always really sleepy :(

--she enjoys being held, cradled, and wrapped up.

--she's not even a full day old! :-O

My mom got induced at 9:30, and between 3pm-4pm dropped to a 6. At 5:54 she had a beautiful baby girl! What more can you say about that?

Two More Weeks!

My mom has two weeks of her pregnancy left! Time flies! But really.. can you believe that on May 13th (or possibly later or earlier) we will have a beautiful little girl? Name suggestions please! :) Thanks we're so excited.
