Lake Powell 2012

Amidst my swollen cheeks, some bouts of illness, and the depressed pre-back to school stage, we managed a final summer trip to Lake Powell, our traditional yearly sanctuary (along with 30 people, two ski boats, four jet skis, and a mass house boat).  We’re so privileged to have such awesome family.

Traditional mud baths. Delish.

Along with Uncle Robert’s creative game of “water gymnastics”, including the event of Slide Landing, where one goes down the fast slide and must stick the landing on the shaky tube at the bottom.   Let’s just say….like in gymnastics…the smaller, the better.

Reyna, Sierra, Caroline, and I. Getting our MUD on.

Ladies…? Anyone…anyone….Bueller?

We had some trauma on the tube (could be worse, I guess).  But my oh my, this tube hit the jackpot.  It totally rocked and was nearly unflippable (making it the most insane ride of our lifetimes). Woo.

Colton taking a snooze.

All in all, trip = success.  Major success.
Now… time for… SCHOOL.

Prom!

We already have enough of these on Facebook, but here it is...

The dress that caused a lot of drama (apparently I don't fit into the smallest size at Nordstrom...what is this?)  I guess we're to blame for buying a prom dress online, but it ended up working out.

Since the boys in our group couldn't rent a limo or van in time, they decided to use Connor's motor home as transportation and got it all decked out... I got a lot of comments at school about "The Mood Setter" :)
It was so much fun! We had an amazing time! Prom as at the Capitol Building, so it was absolutely stunning and so beautiful and enormous.  Ah! I wish prom could be every weekend!

Emma is 8!

I can't decide if it's sinful or not to post her Baptism pictures before the big day, and especially before my mom has had a chance to look at them... but on the contrary, it was fun to get my little sister all dolled up for her baptism pictures.
I remember the day I was baptized when I told my mom, "I'll be sixteen when this baby is eight, so can I drive her to her baptism?"  And both my mom and I have not forgotten that, so I am very excited!

Today is Emma's birthday.  We took these last night.
 Baptism is May 5, 2012.

The two baby girls! Our favorite little princesses!

They're kind of grainy and filmy on Blogger.. I'm not sure why  The enlarged images look better.  Hopefully that's just the website.

Although Emma was kind of a pill, they turned out great.  We love you Emma Elizabeth, and we're so proud of your decision to be baptized!

Isabel, 3 (almost)

She’s my cute baby. And I love her so so so very much… since she’s almost three, I got far too anxious and posted these ahead of time.  Isabel is darling, I’ll post more later, but I just love her so much and needed to see her face on our blog. Ah!
Don’t turn three! You are too cute baby girl!

Izzie-isms:
*lays face on her hand, sighs* “Mom, you are killing me.”

“I’m pretty, I’m smart, and…I’m a princess!”

“Will you play with me?” *most innocent, sweet face ever*

I need to write down more, there’s tons but I’m forgetting them. Ah, I just love this girl!
