We have finally bought a house!
It is our favorite house yet that we've owned - beautiful and cozy. It's 7,000 square feet and has 8 bedrooms (including master), 6 bathrooms, and an enormous theatre room (that we didn't really want until we got the house).
Mom got her Viking ovens and gas stoves, and her music room. Dad got his office with a balcony, and his ranch house (with 2 upstairs bonus bedrooms), Talmage and Ethan got their football field and basement, I got the basement bedroom to myself and the dreamy theatre room, Emma got her little playhouse under the stairs, and Isabel got her nursery. So we're all happy! All we have to do is unpack Christmas! We managed to unpack almost the entire kitchen (except we don'thave a fridge...yet!) and our next mission is the beds in all the rooms.
But we are all so glad we got a house and after much searching we finally found the right one. Thanks to all who helped us and prayed for us. Everyone come by and see us! We'll tell you when we move in.
Love and thanks,
The Lamb Family

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tonight I'm going to see New Moon... well I guess "tomorrow" I am, since it's starting at 12 am! Don't judge me for skipping early morning school. I was invited as part of a birthday party and all day I've been sitting on the edge of my seat, hallucinating. Here's how it goes:
***************if you have not yet read the book, don't see the movie. Hurry up and read it!
I'm way excited. School today got out at 1:10, but the day felt so much longer :(
Happy birtday to Bree, who's taking me to the movie! Good friend:)
I'm going with Lauren, Bree, Kaitlyn, Shannon, Bradi, and Bree's two sisters.
We're sleeping over at Brianne's and then going to school the next day.
Let's get something straight - I am not a Twilight druggie. I overexagerated the whole "hallucination". Yes, I'm very excited to see the movie, but I am under the impression the first one will be better. Pity. Actually, no, I think the book will be better. But I didn't much like the book until the end, which is a whole lot of waiting for. There's some in between events that I also liked. I hope it's not so dramatic that it's almost cheesey.
I'll fill you in later!
Yay :)

Baptism Day/ Birthday
October 10th, 2009 was so eventful- two wonderful special things happened in one day.
Happy belated birthday Lewis Ethan!
To my E-Man... its's been almost two weeks (see how behind I am?). Just want to let you know that you are the light and joy of our lives at the family comedian. Hope you had an awesome bday! PS... he is 8. It's pretty much tradition to give scriptures on the 8th birthday. Ethan has been so excited to get these - he was even more happy when they were the same color as Dad's!
Later that day, Ethan took some buddies to Jump On It. Cameron, Quinn, John, Tal, Max, Sam, and Taft. They had an awesome time and loved coming back to the house to eat lemonade ice crea pie (which was pink..not so perfect for the occasion considering it was a boy's birthday, but none of the kids cared- the cake was sooo good!)

Lone Peak Cheer
This season has been sooo much fun (so far)
L-R: Elle Covey, Savannah Chiniquiy, Maren Penn, me, Ashley Castleton at the Clausen game. These are the backflips. This game was AT Lone Peak high school and the ones that were flipping are me, Savannah, Ashley, Avery, and Charlotte. But Charlotte and Maren and Elle aren't shown in this picture.
We had two games that night - Clausen's team and Romney's (Romney's team is a higher level) That's the team I'm cheering for in this picture. You can see them totally checking us out (jk)

Updates
Addie - I know it seems weird to start with myself, but since school started I've been a little neglectant about getting pictures taken and posted, and the blog has been a little secondhand. Well, I am in 8th grade (one year left of official middle school!) I'll be fourteen this year which is exciting for me, but my mom only thinks I'm turning 10. Well, she wishes, I guess. I play soccer on Celtic Storm (thank goodness.. a winning team!) and we play a lot of tournaments, most of which I get to see my good friend and cousin, Audrey Searle, at. I do cheer for Lone Peak Knights, whose rivals in valley just so happen to be American Fork High. Bless their souls. Can't wait to start competing. I just love football games :)
Tal - Tal plays football for Lone Peak (on the 6th grade team, which I guess is the younger kids). And if you didn't catch that, Tal is in 6th grade! :-0 Mom is really dreading this. He really likes football and baseball and basketball and is supposedly quite the athlete. He has a lot of football games and practices and is really whipped into shape. Tal and I are going to start runnign together in the morning's (which I am very much looking forward to). He loves 6th grade but can't wait to get out of elementary, which he can't be blamed for. He is a really awesome kid and a total lady killer. Some things never change.
Ethan - This dude is really REALLY athletic and is working on getting his eyes and height fixed (it could be a long year...). He is a natural stud and really funny. A lot of people love being around this athlete. He plays on a Super League baseball league, and is the youngest on his team which competes all over Utah. He plays for Lone Peak Knights - which is excellent - and is one stud! One of my good friends younger sisters has been in Ethan's class since we've lived here and she just loves him. Who knew?
Emma - The drama queen! Always on her toes, and being her fiesty, whiney, competitive, anxious little self, it's hard to get through to her. I think Isabel has been a bit in her way. For the best two months, every time someone tries to get Izzie to smile or calls her cute, Emz immediately storms out of the room screaming, "You don't think I'm cute! Call me cute, too!" It's a constant battle we don't really want to fight. On the up side, Emma has started kindergarten (not all day.. poo) and is loving life. She has started to take a turn from her usual grumpy self and I guess fall is starting to take its toll on her.
Isabel - 4 and a half months of pure squishy JOY! This little pixie is as cute as anything - and she knows it! She has got bright blue eyes that are CONSTANTLY open, and a funny little smirk, and about the cutest laugh known to man. The "crying stage" has past and now she is happy and energetic and smiley. Recently she has been sort of sick and needs to be gaining a bit more than she is, but due to her sickness it's been hard for her. Nonetheless, we love our little busybody girl.
i have so much to post!

Alpine Days Cheerleading
Sorry...school has left me hanging. I just posted about the Alpine and Highland parades. It was soooo much fun (after a few comments from Ramon Beck). Alpine was a heck of a lot better since everyone could make it. Our team threw some tucks and handsprings and even a stunt (extension lib show-and-go, if you know what I'm talking about)

Summer?
....is gone.
Ethan is suddenly practicing in his Super League baseball (highest league)
Addie is twirling and dancing in parades and 8AM cheer practices
Talmage is waking up at 6:30am to train hardcore for football season
Emma (and Corkake) have been taking care of their dollies, and their baby, Bel.
Isabel has been cranky and awnry (three months along), but still a bundle of joy.
And it's COLD. Chilly. Windy. After five months of 85+ degrees, it's finally about 65 every morning. Leaves in the park aren't even turning colors, and they're falling off branches. Alpine Days marked the approach for school. Now they're over, and school is exactly one week and four days away.
I'm gonna cry...

No sugar added
July 31st 2009 was my last taste of purely refined sugar for a while. I was planning on going off in July with Liz, but my brother kinda discouraged it and decided him and I would both start in August instead. And it's been five days and I am holding strong. My recent temptations have been sugar cookies, Roxberry's, Wendy's Frosties, Sprite (my ULTIMATE craving!), brownies, chocolate covered pretzels, strawberry shortcake, and lemonade ice cream pie. A lot, but I have been able to hold myself back with fruit. I don't understand it, but suddenly apples and peaches and plums are my way of eating sweet. And it has encouraged me to eat healthier too. It's been REALLY hard, but I can do it! I have faith in myself ;-)

Wakeboardin' Masters
Tal and I spent every oppurtunity wakeboarding. At first, I admit I was afraid I wouldn't be able to stand up since it's been a year off, but with confidence, both Tal and I were able to get right back on track.
Here's Tal wakeboarding. He's gone pro! He made it outside the wake! We have yet to learn how to get back in. Way to go, Tal! You're the man!
Here's me outside the wake. I finally learned how to jump it (thanks Brian and Kristen and whoever else instructed me ;-)

I like this bottom picture only because it has the houseboat in view, as well. Aw, I love Lake Powell!

Lake to the Powell 2009
I love Lake Powell.. every second I am there it is like a sore addiction. Luckily we have a close circle of relatives kind enough to open the oppurtunity to experience such a wonderful trip with them for us. So, thanks Kristen and Robert for letting us in on this wondeful adventure! I look forward to next summer very much :-) Here's the houseboat we stayed in. It's really nice and so great to have family members that we love so dearly let us stay with them in it. Aahh!!
These were our "toys"- two jet skiis and a ski boat. We spent the majority of our time wakeboarding anyway. It was all too much fun!
Ah, of course, the slide. Where would we be without it??
Dad's brother and sister-in-law, Mitch and Nicole watched Emma (thank you SOO much!!) So that left our little newborn Isabel. Izzie had a great time, with all the cousins and family membes goggling over her and Roman. Oh baby!
Here's me on the slide. :-) Like I said, WAYYY too much fun!
Liz, Brian, Capt. Bob (aka, Uncle Robert), Steven and Heather spent their evening talking by the boat. Oh, such nice weather!
Sequence became the ultimate game- everyone played, everyone experienced it. Ethan became addicted.
Julianne, Rachel, Ethan, me
This trip was also so relaxing. SOOO relaxing. Almost amazingly perfect. To me, this trip was perfected. Quiet peace, amazing perfection... ahh! I can't get over it. I started up at half of Harry Potter 7 and finished it.. and wakeboarded, jet skii'd, tubed, and swam... see? R..E...L..A..X

Bumbo and Belle
We have finally got Isabel on enough head control to take on the bumbo seat. Rock on. So far, she is liking the chair with the exception of only sitting peacefully in it if the tv is on. However, it is starting to grow on her. This is her first experience in the bumbo chair- as you can see, it's not going so smoothly. Not yet, at least. We tried to get a smile out of her. But she acted like we were the mafia.
Ah, still no dice.
Ah, still no dice.
Isabel's lullaby
I play Bella's Lullaby for our little Belle (we don't call her bella- but it would fit anyway!)
There are two versions for Bella's lullaby- the movie version, and the almost-movie version. Both are great songs and fortunately I can play them both on the piano. Luckily, Isabel listens to them both and only falls asleep to those lullabies. It's great to see her appreciation for music at such a young age!

Movie Review: Harry Potter 6
So this morning an 8:45AM my friends drug me out of bed to go see this movie. I went with Brianne Jackson, Gabi Isrealsen, Kaitlyn Conlee, and Taylor-Ann Barton.
I was impressed!
I haven't read the book since I was at least ten so the details cleared up for me big time! It was a pretty good movie- I thought by far the fifth was scarier, though. There is only one creepy part, so no worries. On Monday my family is going to see it together. I am glad that I got to see it- I won't regret it. Now I have to read the 7th! Yes, I never read it but I sort of want to now.
We always go see the newest and greatest movies together- now I can't wait for New Moon!

Our boy, Snaggle
After much attempt, Ethan finally got rid of one of his top teeth. Due to this, he is officially dubbed with the title of "snaggle". We constantly make fun of him, but he's good about it and laughs along with us. Took a look at the E man! Now he's gotta pull out that other one and get rid of his nickname!

marathon
No, this isn't the marathon you were thinking about when you read the title... this is Ethan's way to prepare himself for the new Harry Potter movie! For some insane reason, he has been obsessing over the movies. It started with one little innocent preview of Half-Blood Prince, and he took off at 100mph running his mouth about "having to see it!"
So my mom told him that she would let him see it- but only if we saw all the other ones first to get what's going on. Ethan was all for it. So, to count, this past month we have this record:
Sorcerer's Stone: 1
Chamber of Secrets: 6
Prisoner of Azkaban: 4
Goblet of Fire: 2
Order of the Pheonix: 1
We don't have Order of the Pheonix, but got to watch it over in Heber Valley one night. Ethan is LOVING this! When Tal got back from BYU Baseball Camp, he awarded Ethan with Sorcerer's Stone. He was up on cloud nine!I felt like the posters for the 5th and 6th movies were a bit dramatic for the blog...
So we started out "official" marathon.
We have already watched the first 2 and now onto the 3rd.
Wish me luck!

Lamb Family 09: Heber Valley Reunion
This Independance Day weekend we went to Heber Valley to have our last family reunion before Kyson leaves for his misson. It was so fun- more of a relaxing trip, but well worth the time and effort. We stayed in a HUGE cabin (two stories high, and two stories deep=four floors altogether) that had 8 bedrooms and a nice layout. It was a really adventurous trip!
Below is me and Hailey on our last day. She said to Sarah, "hey, mom, can i get a picture with Addie?" I love this girl! There was the foursome that always stayed together-
Lizzy, Emma, and Rachel.. we are missing Arden in this picture :-(
(Hailey, Lizzy, Emma, Rachel)
We saw a ton of animals hanging everywhere throughout the house. The main attraction (or I guess, the main scare) was the bear in the front room. I'll post that in a moment...
A little more of the huge bucks in the game room...
Me, Morgan, and Hailey put on a little "preschool" surprise for the younger girls. Audrey had singing time and a puppet show, and I was the secretary and the desk clerk and helped them sign in and set up. They had a great time, but it was extremely difficult to keep their attention. We lasted 10 minutes before they ran their seperate ways.
A bunch of little kids attempted to set up traps to catch the dozens of squirrels (I mean, dozens) that wondered around the backyard. They tried everything- empty soda cans, boxes, duct tape.. their attempt was the only thing that seemed to work. Their success...didn't. But it's okay. They had a jolly good time setting up their traps.
Such a beautiful world we live in...

Nate and Chelsea got the master bedroom. Personally, I'd hate to be in there! There was a small cougar overhanging their bed. Nice pair of eyes to watch you in your sleep...
Nightmares!

We played round after round of Nerts, and in the end, team Addie and Nicole striked victorious. Well played, team!
Mitch and Nate made such an effort to get us out there before we say goodbye to Kyson. It was so much fun- everything, even the endless rounds of pool and air hockey; the delicious home-cooked meals; the kayaking on the Uinta Overlook; Kyson's hilarious fall and Mitch's fear of cold water; and all of the intense games that never failed to impress.

What a vacation indeed!
We had the entire gang there night 1, but missed out on Mike and Mandy, and said goodbye the next day to Matt and Corie and Katie and Tom and their kids.
